A service by someone who would like to see more awesome packs on the Unreal Engine Marketplace.
There are no initial costs attached to the process.
Only when your package has been approved by the Unreal Engine Marketplace you will pay me a pre-determined amount of money. This amount will usually range from
3 to 6 times the price of the final package. A price range will be determined when discussing your package.
There are a lot of differences between Unity and Unreal Engine and a lot can go wrong when moving the content pack. I will make sure everything is up-to-standard for unreal! In line with the official marketplace guidelines. Ready to be sold by you!
Maybe you made an awesome character with animations. If you want I can add some functionality and make a playable character or an something like an enemy AI. Things like these are always received well and should be added where possible.
In case you are adding more things to your unity package, I will make sure to do the same for the Unreal Version. I will also make sure that whenever a new version of unreal releases your package will be updated to support this!
*This is an optional addition to the package.*
What will the process look like?
You already made an asset pack and you probably have an idea of what you want and how you want it on the unreal store. We discuss this and after we come to a conclusion I will get to work.
Everything has to be moved over, In short, the package is greated during this stage, files changed/moved over, everything is named properly. Functionality maybe added as a bonus as it will help sales. Everything will be done up to standard and in accordance with official guidelines.
After everything has been moved over to Unreal I will make a build and send it to you. Here you get to have a look at how it currently looks and runs in-engine. Here you can decide if you want to continue with the process or not.
*Even if you decide not to continue there will be no costs attached.*
If you decide to go through I will make sure it is completely ready for the marketplace and all you have to do is sign up there and prepare to submit. That's it!
- Creating new assets. (textures, 3d models)
- Retargeting skeletons
- Actually selling the package.
Hi, my name is Tim van Kan and I am an Unreal Engine enthousiast.
For years I've been learning the engine and I've had the pleasure of seeing it grow a lot. The unreal Engine marketplace is a place where you can find amazing assets by talented people.
Lately I've been seeing more and more people moving from Unity to Unreal and releasing their unity assets on the Unreal Marketplace.
However, I often notice a lack of experience when looking at the content packs. This leads to unfortunate mistakes and fewer sales than could potentially be made.
I love the marketplace and I want to see it grow, if you are a content creator for another online store then I want you to be a part of the unreal community. I'd like to offer my services and help you move over. Actually, I'm more than willing to do all the work for you.
In the end I leave the fun part to you, reaching a whole new community with your content and earning money doing so.
If this sounds like an interesting proposal please reach out to me and we will get to work!
-Tim van Kan.
Underneath here you will find some of my more recent jobs.
Assassin’s Creed: Da Vinci’s Workshop is a collaboration project between NHTV University of Applied Sciences and Ubisoft for in-house experimentation with Virtual Reality, in the form of an escape room. At the moment there is no plan for a commercial release.
Earlier this year I was working on particle effects for PolyPixel, one of the best suppliers of art to the Unreal Engine Marketplace. I created different particles ranging from falling leaves to a rain system with in-depth support for interiors. (More info in the video)
Currently I'm working at Utomik, here I integrate games to work with their system. It's been a very interesting experience where i've already learned and grown a ton. (Can't give a ton of details because of NDA'S)
The talented people from skeleton productions needed a short in-game animation for one of their commercials. For this project I used the new unreal sequencer tool to put together a futuristic scene with a beautifull environment and some intense action.
